september update from adam

hello friends,

with labor day now past we are officially entering a new season. for some of us that is as simple as thinking about fall fashion or the overdue haircut, for others ... adjusting to a variety of home schooling options ... or dreaming about the trips & activities we want to take when it's safe and easy.

right now all of these modes bring some challenges and we'd like to think that we are here with you to be a resource regardless of which mode you're in.

your feedback has been overwhelmingly positive over the summer and very meaningful to me ... especially now that our spas have partially reopened and we are closer to being your full-service resource once again.

much of your feedback has been about our safety standards and our commitment to a safe and healthy environment. every comment along those lines is important and makes the work and investment just feel right. thank you for everything you notice and for sharing your observations. i devour and review all feedback in detail with our team. this is just one of the ways we get better and work together on the common goal of continually improving your salon and spa experience.

fall brings home the reality of "the new normal" more than ever. backyard camping with the kids, local hikes, cookouts with people in your bubble made summer work.  now we ponder ... what do we want our new season to be about?

so for pete and myself, and the many friends we speak with, food & cooking methods is not only seasonal but a ritual we share together and truly enjoy. over the last 6 months memorable meals that we prepare together at home stand out as high points in our week. our stacks of favorite cookbooks are inspirational in guiding mealtime which is always anchoring and fun.

my personal go-to cooking guru is ina garten, author, the barefoot contessa ... check her out ... i think you'll enjoy her amazingly simple POV.
